Hi! I'm Erick Solar and I'm a professional illustrator from Brazil. I love to draw since I was a little kid discovering myself and the world around me, but when I was a teenager I decided to try graphic design as a profession because it was easier to get work in this area here in Brazil.
I graduated as a Technical Graphic Designer when I was 17, and later I graduated as a Game Designer. I worked mostly as a professional graphic designer for more than a decade, but the passion for drawing was always with me. When I draw I'm in my personal zone, I lose the sense of time and get inside my deepest self. It can be scary sometimes, but for the most time is an adventure filled with discovery.

Because of my background as a professional Graphic Designer and my passion for getting better, I've been sharpening my skills and my eyes for stunning and appealing artwork for advertising in general. Most of my work is for music advertising, like album covers, gig posters and everything I can put my hands on. Music is one of my greatest loves, so it's definitely one of my main reasons for being a professional illustrator. But I also like to create unique pieces for all sorts of products and promotions.
I think art is an universal language, and a beautiful illustration can connect with any human being in the world, doesn't matter where they live or where they came from.

My goal is to connect people trough and with art. To make us think about a better place, either inside or outside us. To make us feel something, and hopefully a good feeling. In my mind, art is the bridge to connect us with our best self, a self that loves the joy of life.

My work is mostly inspired by vintage psychedelic music posters and space comics, but I also like mystical and misterious characters.
